Fans of fine dining looking for the ultimate foodie getaway this autumn should take the short ferry journey across the English Channel to the beautiful islands of Jersey and Guernsey for this year’s Tennerfest.
Taking place from 1 October - 11 November, the renowned Tennerfest is an annual food event offering visitors the chance to experience some of the Channel Island’s culinary delights from fixed price menus, which start from as little as £10 per person.
Now in its 19th year, the event will bring together over 170 restaurants across Jersey and Guernsey for a gastronomic extravaganza that will showcase the very best local produce and innovative cooking.
Visitors to Tennerfest will have the opportunity to meet local chefs and take their pick from a whole host of cafes, bistros, gastro pubs and traditional seafood restaurants.
It’s no surprise that the Channel Islands have a reputation for culinary excellence. An abundance of exceptional eateries serve up the freshest seafood, caught and served within hours from the surrounding crystal clear waters, whilst rich fertile farmlands produce world-class produce, such as Jersey Royals and Guernsey tomatoes.
The Channel Islands are a stunning archipelago, with something for everyone. With miles of picturesque coastline routes to explore, they are a walker’s paradise, whilst safe, sandy beaches with rock pools teeming with marine life are the perfect spot for families.
Justin Amey, Head of Marketing at Condor Ferries, commented: “Tennerfest is a fantastic initiative that has always proved popular with our customers, and provides the perfect excuse to visit the Channel Islands this autumn. Whether you’re looking for your first taste of Channel Island cuisine or you're a regular visitor, we look forward to welcoming guests on board as we whisk them away for a real taste of the Islands.”
Prices start from £54pp for a car and two passengers each way to Guernsey and Jersey, with day trips to Guernsey from £30 for an adult return. To find out more and to book tickets, please visit www.condorferries.com.
