New schedule heralds arrival of the Condor 102
The schedule includes sailings on the new Condor 102, which will deliver a whole new on board experience, as well as more comfortable and more reliable travel for passengers sailing to and from the Channel Islands.
Passengers will also be able to enjoy day trips to Guernsey and Jersey, with early morning departures from Poole - as well as Inter-Island trips allowing visitors to explore the beauty of both Islands during their stay.
“Passengers can now book sailings to both the Channel Islands and France right through to next November, but it is the Islands sailings which will really capture passengers’ imaginations.” said Alicia Andrews, Executive Director – Commercial at Condor Ferries.
“From the end of March, all journeys to the Channel Islands will be on the new Condor 102 from Poole, which offers smoother journeys, greater reliability and a superb on board experience including a wider choice of seating, a range of dining, and even shopping facilities for our passengers to enjoy.
“We are all very excited about the arrival of the Condor 102 and I’m sure that our passengers will love sailing to the Channel Islands on our new ship.”
Passengers will notice the advantages of the Condor 102 immediately, as driving on to the ferry and parking on the car deck will be easier than before. There will be a choice of three seat classes:
Ocean Traveller which offers assigned airline-style seats in an open lounge with full access to the on board dining and shopping; the Ocean Traveller Plus lounge with its private bar and seating which is either airline-style reclining or arranged around a table; and the sumptuous Ocean Club private lounge with at-seat service and leather reclining seats with tables.
Ocean Traveller Plus and Ocean Club feature at-seat charging facilities for portable devices, and all passengers will be able to access the on board Wi-Fi service when in, or near to, port. Passengers will also be able to enjoy the outdoor deck area, children’s play area, Bureau de Change and range of shopping outlets, including Duty Free.
Other advantages unveiled by Condor today include the removal of extra charges for SUVs as well as the extension of the maximum car length to 5.5 metres, meaning that all leisure vehicles are now priced similarly.
Travellers visiting Guernsey will also be pleased to see that there are opportunities for day excursions to France at weekends and on popular days during the summer.
